The ugly side of financial inclusion

If you scratch the surface, most of the “financial inclusion” offerings are just microloans that run on a digital platform with fees and interest rates that keep their users in perpetual debt slavery.

But why?

At first glance, the decision by the Central African Republic to accept Bitcoin as legal tender is innovative and progressive. However, when you start looking a bit deeper you start to have some questions.
