Africa is now surrounded by several high speed subsea cables connecting it to North and South America, Europe and Asia. What is more important than subsea cables is terrestrial fiber cables connecting various African countries together.
Cabo Verde telecommunications boost
European Investment Bank has backed the high-speed Cabo Verde Internet and telecommunications connection with funding. The EllaLink subsea fibre cable is expected to be fully functional by the year 2020.
