South African Premier Soccer League team, Cape Town City Football Club, has partnered with BlocSide Sports to use the startup's blockchain based digital solutions for fan engagement. With the partnership, Cape Town City FC will be able to leverage BlocSide's augmented reality, frictionless payments, ticket-as-a-platform, and blockchain solutions for their fans.

BlocSide is a London based technology startup that builds white labeled mobile and web solutions that integrate with a football team's current web and retail technical solutions.

Not only is the partnership a first in South Africa but it is also the first in professional football. Using BlocSide's Ethereum based rewards token (MWP) and platform. The MVP token will be able to be used for in-stadium concessions, rewards, and more.
