Undersea fibre cable company, SEACOM, have announced that they have finally repaired the subsea cable marine fault off the coast of Djibouti.

The fault was first reported during early April 2017.

"Customers will start seeing their circuits come up and traffic routing return but should also anticipate a short period of fluctuation while we complete test and verification activities." the company said in a statement.

SEACOM had confirmed previously that the repair vessel had arrived at the identified area where the fault had been identified at on 2 May 2017.
