Isaac Mophatlane has stepped down as Telkom South Africa owned BCX CEO and is leaving the company effective 30 April 2017. He will be consulting to Telkom South Africa Group CEO, Sipho Maseko, for the next three months.

Speaking to iAfrikan he said it "has been an amazing journey" starting and running BCX for over two decades. This year, 2017, would have marked 21 years since he and his twin brother, Benjamin, embarked on their journey of starting and growing Business Connection, as it was then known.

The Mophatlane brothers started Business Connection in 1996 and have grownit to be an international ICT company. In 2014 the company was acquired by Telkom South Africa for approximately $200 million (R 2,67 billion) with the deal being finalized in 2015. It was a bitter sweet year for Mophatlane as his brother Benjamin passed away during the same period which he has described as the worst in his life.

Mophatlane will he replaced by the current Chief Transitioning Officer, Ian Russell.
