Nigeria's Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will be one of the speakers at the 22nd World Conference of Banking Institutes (WCBI) on 24 to 28 April 2017. The latest installment of the conference is titled “Re-thinking the Future of Banking and Finance and Life-Long Learning” and will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to WCBI, hundreds of CEOs and senior banking and finance executives from both the public and private sectors, renowned speakers, distinguished thought leaders, economic experts and investors are expected to be in attendnce.

Notable among these is author of the book "Future of Banking", Adjiedj Bakas who will be a speaker; Sarkin Kano, former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Muhammad Sanusi II;  Partner, West Africa Financial Advisory Leader, Deloitte (Nigeria) Temitope Odukoya; Executive Director Australia New Zealand Institute Kay Luan Tay; and Group Chief Executive Officer, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, Lome, Togo  Ade Ayeyemi.

The 22nd edition of the WCBI will be hosted by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Founded in 1963 in Surulere, Nigeria, CIBN is effectively decreed as an Institute by Nigeria's government to control entry into the banking profession and also set standards for bankers to comply with and maintain professional ethics through sanctions of erring members.
